Symbols Exposed Rulebook

The Symbols Exposed App is a platform where users can share their knowledge and insights about various symbols found in different cultures, historical periods, and contexts. This app aims to promote education and understanding of symbolism.

The views expressed by users on this platform are their own and do not necessarily reflect the views of the app developers or administrators or moderators. Any content that violates the rules and guidelines outlined below will be removed.

Community Guidelines

  1. Respect and Civility: Users are expected to engage in respectful and constructive dialogue when discussing symbolic meanings.
  2. No Harassment or Bullying: Any form of harassment, bullying, or intimidation towards other users will not be tolerated.
  3. Anonymous Community: As an anonymous community, we do not allow users to share any private information about themselves or others, including:
    • Personal contact details (e.g., email addresses, phone numbers).
    • Real names or identities.
    • Location-based information (e.g., IP addresses, GPS coordinates).

Sharing Content

  1. Copyright Infringement: Users are prohibited from posting content that infringes on any copyrights, trademarks, or intellectual property rights.
  2. Fact-Based Discussions: Users should base their posts on credible sources and evidence when discussing symbolism related to specific groups, events, or individuals.
  3. Specific Examples: Sharing concrete examples or instances where a particular group or party has been involved in wrongdoing, with proper citation and attribution, is encouraged.
  4. Targeting Minors: Users are prohibited from posting content that targets children or exploits them for any purpose.It is strictly forbidden to post any content that is harming individual minors in any way.
  5. Inciting violence: Users are prohibited from posting content that incites violence or promotes harm against any individual or group.

Targeting Specific Individuals

  1. Respectful discussion: When discussing symbolism associated with a popular individual (e.g., celebrity, public figure), users should refrain from making unfounded claims about their intentions, motivations, or supposed "evil" nature.
  2. Evidence-Based Arguments: Users can argue that a specific symbol has been used by an individual in a particular context, but such claims must be supported by credible evidence and sources.
  3. Avoidance of Sensationalism: Posts should avoid sensationalized language or imagery that targets an individual as the "source of evil". This includes using loaded terms like "Illuminati", "New World Order", or other similar buzzwords to imply nefarious intentions.

Conspiracies and Misinformation

  1. No Conspiracies Against Religions or Minorities: Posts should not promote or spread conspiracy theories that target specific religions or minority groups with the intention of damaging their reputation or credibility.
  2. Avoidance of Loaded Language: Users should avoid using language or imagery that perpetuates misconceptions, stereotypes, or prejudices against any group.

Access to Symbols

  1. Admin-Granted Access Only: Access to create new symbols and edit existing ones is granted by the app admins only. There are no accelerated access options or requests for access.
  2. Future Developments: The development team may introduce rule-based ways to gain access in the future, but for now, access decisions remain solely at the discretion of the admins.

Reporting Misconduct

  1. Flagging Inappropriate Content: Users can report suspicious or problematic content by flagging it for review on the app.
  2. Support Team Contact: Working on it... In the meantime, please use the flagging system.

Mod Actions

  1. Removal/Redaction without Warning: If a user breaks these rules, their post will be removed or redacted, and the original content will be kept as evidence.
  2. Public Explanation in Mod Log: A moderator will create an entry in the separate Mod Log page explaining why the post was removed/redacted, providing context for users to understand our decision.
  3. Extreme Cases: In rare instances where content is extremely disturbing or illegal, it may be completely removed without public explanation.

Consequences

  1. Repeated Offenses: Repeated violations of these rules may result in a temporary ban from posting new content (up to 30 days) or permanent banishment of the user's account.
  2. Extreme Cases: In extreme cases where users engage in harassment, bullying, or other forms of misconduct, their account may be permanently banned without prior warning.

By using the Symbols Exposed app, you agree to abide by these rules and contribute to a respectful and informative community that values accuracy, empathy, and understanding.
